When summer is finally back and all the schoolwork is gone people’s schedules start to open up, with all the open space someone may have it’s a great idea to look for a fun activity. Some of these activities may include camp or maybe even an amusement park, no matter what your plans are there are many options to pick from.
In Calvert County Maryland there are lots of camps available for all different age groups and cultures, one of these camps is called Jr. Sheriffs Camp run by the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office. This camp takes middle school kids from grades 6-8 and is an amazing option for any kids interested in trying to be a sheriff or are interested in the different types of things the Calvert County Sheriffs do. Many things in the camp are very physical and require lots of stamina and endurance. After a long day of running around and learning about the sheriffs and what they do in Calvert County, the kids get to enjoy a nice swim at the Cove Point pool that the Sheriff’s office had funded for the camp. Still, overall Jr. Sheriffs Camp offers a fun experience and gives first-hand knowledge from the amazing Officers and Sheriffs in Calvert County.
Calvert County also has another sheriff’s camp called Camp Cops; Camp Cops is similar to Jr. Sheriff’s Camp, but the aspects are different. In Camp Cops kids will learn about the cop’s many pieces of equipment that they use while on the job. Other parts of this camp have kids getting physical and getting some cardio in while they receive their firsthand knowledge about how this county’s cops are. With each day going by the kids will become more informed about the cops and lots of tasks that they are given. After each day of camp ends, the children will get to swim in a public pool to cool off after a fun day of physical activity and advanced knowledge. Overall Camp Cops is a phenomenal camp for any kids interested in what cops do for this county. The age group is middle schoolers in grades 6-8.
These are just 2 core examples of activities that kids can do over the summer, they are both excellent options and have a wide variety of activities to do while at the camp, many of the reviews online have been great and give it good praise for many of the parents interested in getting their kids to go to a camp.
