Hot Chocolate 5K
Wind rushes through your hair as you race on the course, weaving in between other runners. Your heart beats strong and proud as your feet push you to the goal: the finish line. Cheers that were once muffled and distant grow louder and louder as you near the final yards of the race. The finish line is right ahead of you. Despite fatigued muscles, the spirit of everyone around you pushes you forward, and as you cross the line, you’re titled a proud finisher of a 5k. For Huntingtown NJROTC, we decided to put ourselves to the test by supporting and running in Project Echo’s Hot Chocolate 5k held at Jefferson Patterson Park.
