Electrical workers are important people. They keep our homes warm, our televisions working, and so many more things. But what is an electrical worker and how dangerous can their job get? An electrical worker has many different jobs they must do, since technology and wiring are so complicated these days. Electrical workers have jobs like installing or replacing certain electrical systems, re-wiring,  moving – or replacing –  light switches and other necessities. They also work with machinery to move or place heavy things in spots, and they also install CCTV’s and other cameral devices.  The list could go on for longer.

          But it isn’t easy getting to the spot some have today. If wanting to work with electricity you’d have to go through classes, but it depends on what spot you would want to take, then find the class. It is adequate to have a bachelor’s degree, though speaking with a top electrical worker from the company name Heller Electric Co. he had said he took  a five-year apprenticeship through electrical union twenty-six. He had started to then work at the age of 18 and in doing so his salary was up to $11.82  an hour which led near to $23,000 a year. He had started in and followed with his bosses’ directions, but today he says he is a boss who still follows the orders of his original boss. But since he is now near the top, he was able to become the boss at his work sites and make sure the others were doing their jobs the right ways.

          Electrical work can be hard for many, but it can also be easy if you know the right steps to it. Electrical workers have many abbreviations they memorize.  It helps them move on and proceed with the job faster, especially when they are writing certain notes down. They also must memorize most of the things they learn in schooling for the job including calculations to different things, copacity’s, motor starters, how to program PLC, how to wire transformers and this list goes on of the things they learned. They also have new things they need to memorize at the job site itself including special or important emails that come through, the copacity of conductors, voltages in buildings, electrical prints, mechanical prints, security prints, and more.

          Being an electrical worker is very important and it helps keep everyone safe and healthy. Even if electrical is a hard job to proceed with and take on it helps a lot when it comes to safety of people.
